Project: Swing Magazine — Quarterly Magazine Design | 2018

• Designed my first professional magazine for Swing Magazine, a local publication in St. Louis, Missouri.

• Designed a quarterly magazine focused on promoting the hair care and skin care industries throughout
  the St. Louis metropolitan area.

• Contributed to the visual direction of the magazine’s first edition.

Problem: Establishing a Professional & Creative Visual Direction

• Swing Magazine was a new brand seeking an art direction that would create a professional and creative aesthetic.

• The client needed a dependable designer to help shape and craft a magazine edition that could establish credibility for the publication.

• The magazine needed an impressive cover that could set the visual tone for its first edition.

Role: Graphic Designer & Art Direction

• Worked closely with the client to develop the magazine’s cover.

• Created a bold and visually interesting cover designed to establish the tone for the first edition.

• Developed creative layouts for the magazine’s interior pages.

• Used the interior layouts to help draw interest from readers.
